Axles

Ordering Information

Steelco, Inc. manufactures all of our axles in house. When ordering an axle we need the following information:

#1 - Is the axle straight or dropped?
(see below illustrations-Illustration 1 is a straight axle and Illustration 2 is a dropped axle)

#2 - What size tubing is the axle made of?
(1-1/2"x1-1/2" Square Tubing, 2"x2" Square Tubing or 2"x3" Rectangle Tubing)

#3 - What is the overall length?
(measure from tip of spindle to tip of spindle without hubs)

#4 - What are the inner and outer bearing numbers?
(this tells us what size spindles are on the axle)

#5 - What is the length of drop?
(on dropped axle, measure from top of axle tubing to top of spindle)

#6 - Does the axle have brakes?

Straight Axle Pricing

$1.00 per inch-(Example: 75" overall length = $75.00)
Add $10.00 per axle for brake flanges
Add $15.00 per axle for Accu-Lube™ Spindles
(specify when ordering - can only be used in
2" x 2" x 1/4" wall tubing)

 

3500 lb. Dropped Axle

Pricing Up to 90" overall length = $110.00
91"-100-1/2" overall length = $130.00
Add $10.00 per axle for brake flanges
Add $15.00 per axle for Accu-Lube™ Spindles
(specify when ordering)

5200 lb. Dropped Axle

Pricing Up to 100-1/2" overall length = $175.00
Brake Flanges included
Add $20.00 per axle for Accu-Lube™ Spindles
(specify when ordering)

Notes:

Above Axle prices include axle with spindles, spindle nuts,
spindle washers, cotter pins and one (1) pair of adjustable
aluminum spring perch pads.

Hubs sold separately on page 5.
Axle U-Bolt Kits sold separately on page 42.
